The Arai Helmets Signet-X Helmet in Oriental 2 features a long oval shape designed specifically for riders with a narrow head and more pronounced forehead. Its shape is achieved by increasing the front-to-back space of the EPS liner while decreasing side-to-side, providing a snug and comfortable fit that enhances safety and rider comfort. The helmet’s shell incorporates Peripherally Belted - Super Complex Laminate Construction (PB-SCLC), a multi-material technique that combines performance and affordability for a durable yet lightweight helmet.
Equipped with the Variable Axis System (VAS), the shield mechanism is designed to improve the helmet's shape and functionality. The VAS shield system lowers the pivot point by approximately 24 mm, resulting in a smoother shell surface area around the temple region to better absorb impact energy. The VAS latch securely holds the shield closed, preventing accidental openings, while the larger latch facilitates intuitive operation, including de-mist functions for clear visibility.
Airflow management is optimized with QVF three-position intake vents and QVR exhaust ducts, ensuring excellent ventilation during rides. Even when the front shutter is closed, side vents function as exhaust outlets, maintaining airflow efficiency. The helmet features FCS® Cheek Pads, contoured with multiple foam densities supported by foam springs to cradle the face comfortably and block wind noise effectively.
