Mechanic's Note
If your scooter runs for a few minutes and then dies, or won't start after sitting, your fuel pump diaphragm may be compromised. When installing, always inspect your vacuum lines for cracks or dry rot — even a tiny air leak will prevent this pump from drawing fuel from the tank.
